Suitably qualified undergraduates, graduates, and PhD students from all subjects and nationalities are invited to apply for the Heinrich Böll Foundation Scholarships. Each year, the foundation awards scholarships to around 1,500 students pursuing degrees at universities, applied sciences institutions (Fachhochschulen), or universities of the arts (Kunst-/Musikhochschulen).
They are country-specific scholarships competed for by deserving international undergraduate, and PhD students. Other organizations include the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the Federal Foreign Office which also offers funds to boost the institutions and academics in different specialties.
